MASH Trust is a non-government organisation and registered charity operating since 1989, when it was founded to provide accommodation and sheltered housing. Today, MASH provides a wide range of support services for approximately 1700 people with mental health conditions, disabilities, alcohol and addiction struggles, and youth support.  

Our services are offered in a number of settings including day programmes, support in people’s own homes, support within MASH homes, and support in the community. MASH operates throughout the lower North Island in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatū, and Hawkes Bay with over 500 staff and volunteers.

Job Description

Opportunity to join our team based in Kapiti Coast as a Casual Disability Support Worker.

MASH Trust supports people in their own homes, within MASH homes and in the community. We operate throughout the lower North Island, in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay regions,
 
With over 550 staff and volunteers, we work alongside the people we support to enable them to live fulfilling lives.

The position:
We have casual positions available, working as and when required.
 
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be supporting clients by maintaining a high quality of life, a quality home environment, and encouraging full participation in all aspects of community daily life.
 
You will have/be:
· Flexibility to work all shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleepovers and wake overs) 
· Comfortable with assisting with personal cares
· Hold a current full driver’s licence 
· Eligible to work in New Zealand 
· Caring and kind in nature with integrity that can provide support to those from all walks of life
