  • Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, permanent position in Rotorua.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

The role will be working Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 5.00pm based at our Rotorua site.

Join a skilled team partnering with agencies in housing and health. Help those with mental illness attain housing stability.

Manage complexities of aiding individuals with high needs, including intergenerational challenges, mental health, addiction, and trauma. Apply housing-first approach, meeting stakeholder expectations.

You | Mōu

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with a range of experience in the mental health and social sectors and particularly with experience in housing.  Ideally you will have:

  • Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with LinkPeople. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. LinkPeople offers significant support for support workers to complete this study.
  • Knowledge of the social housing assessment and allocation processes used by the Ministry of Social Development.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working with Māori and Pasifika.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, you’ll quickly build credibility while showcasing your sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • An ability to work at pace and flourish under pressure will be complemented by excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record keeping.
  • A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
