MASH Trust is a non-government organisation and registered charity operating since 1989, when it was founded to provide accommodation and sheltered housing. Today, MASH provides a wide range of support services for approximately 1700 people with mental health conditions, disabilities, alcohol and addiction struggles, and youth support.  

Our services are offered in a number of settings including day programmes, support in people’s own homes, support within MASH homes, and support in the community. MASH operates throughout the lower North Island in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatū, and Hawkes Bay with over 500 staff and volunteers.

Job Description

We have an opportunity available to join our Wellington Team as a Part Time Disability Support Worker.

MASH Trust support people in their own homes, within MASH home and in the community. We operate throughout the lower North Island, in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay regions.
With over 550 staff and volunteers, we work alongside the people we support to enable them to live fulfilling lives.
 
The Position:  This is a Part Time 64 hours a fortnight POOL position.
A POOL staff member is a staff member that works covering all of the gaps that we have available due to annual Leave and training. This position means your shift pattern may change from week to week, but you are provided your schedule of 64 hours, at least a fortnight in advance. You must be available to work day shifts on weekdays, weekends and also sleepover. 
  • You will be working throughout the Wellington Region on a rotating roster.   
  • You must have some availability over the weekends
  • As a Community Support Worker working for MASH Trust, you will be joining a highly skilled and dedicated team supporting people to maintain a high quality of life, within a quality home environment, and encouraging full participation in all aspects of community daily life to maximise independence.

  • Current Full NZ Driver’s licence as you will be required to drive a van as part of your day-to-day job
