With over 550 staff and volunteers, we work alongside the people we support to enable them to live fulfilling lives.

What we can offer:
  • You will earn between $23.38 - 29.10 per hour, depending on your qualification
  • Excellent working environment
  • Rewarding work where you can make a difference
  • Opportunity to study while working
  • Study Leave days and MASH Days
The Position: This is a full time Pool Position of 80 Hours per fortnight on a rotating roster.
  • We have a full-time position available as a POOL staff member working across a number of our Disability Services located in Paraparaumu.
  • A POOL staff member is a staff member that works in a variety of homes covering all of the gaps that we have available due to annual leave and training. This position means your shift pattern may change from week-to-week but you are provided your roster at least a fortnight in advance.
  • You must be available to work both AM and PM shifts, weekdays and weekends. Ideally you will have experience and training in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Your can-do attitude and ability to adapt to challenging situations will make you a suitable candidate. We are looking for candidates with a desire to learn and grow within their role and wanting flexibility with hours of work, not just a standard nine-to-five. Shifts will include weekend work.
As a Mental Health Support Worker working for MASH Trust, you will be joining a highly skilled and dedicated team supporting clients to maintain a high quality of life, within a quality home environment, and encouraging full participation in all aspects of community daily life to maximise independence.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • A minimum of 12 months experience working within the Mental Health, Disability or Aged care Sector or a lived experience.
  • A relevant qualification is preferable but not necessary.
  • Hold a current full New Zealand drivers licence as you will be required to drive a van as part of your day-to-day job
  • The ability to take pride in a healthy home environment – including assisting with cleaning, meal preparation and shopping.
  • A caring and kind in nature with integrity that can provide support to those from all walks of life.
  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cooking skills and be able to follow a recipe
MASH Trust is not an accredited Employer and therefore cannot use The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) process
Applications for the above roles will be reviewed as they are received so the role may close earlier if the right applicant is found.
