MASH Trust is a non-government organisation and registered charity operating since 1989, when it was founded to provide accommodation and sheltered housing. Today, MASH provides a wide range of support services for approximately 1700 people with mental health conditions, disabilities, alcohol and addiction struggles, and youth support.  

Our services are offered in a number of settings including day programmes, support in people’s own homes, support within MASH homes, and support in the community. MASH operates throughout the lower North Island in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatū, and Hawkes Bay with over 500 staff and volunteers.

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Part Time Medication Support Worker to join our team.

MASH Trust is a leading provider of support services for people with disabilities, mental health conditions, alcohol and addiction struggles, and in youth respite care. We support people in their own homes, within MASH Homes and in the community.
 
MASH Operates throughout the lower North Island in Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Palmerston North, Hawkes Bay, and Whanganui with over 550 staff and volunteers.

The Position:
Support Workers come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, but all have one thing in common, the desire to enable others to develop resilience and move forward with their recovery. 
 
We have a Part Time position available travelling across Himatangi, Foxton and Levin supporting people in the community to deliver and support them with their prescribed daily medication requirements.
Fortnightly hours for this position are:  25hrs per fortnight, some weekend availability may be required
Morning hours are between 8.00am - 9.00am - hours may vary depending on the needs of the people being supported. 
Evening hours are between 7.00pm - 8.30pm - hours may vary depending on the needs of the people being supported. 
Days and hours to be discussed in interview, there may also be an opportunity for additional casual hours for the right candidate.
 
The Skills: 
  • Passion for people, flexible approach, team player, good listener, self-motivated and good initiative
  • Relevant experience or qualification is preferred 
  • You will have a current First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one
  • Eligible to work in NZ
  • Full NZ driver’s license is essential
