Job Description

Seeking a strong people leader with mental health expertise. Ideal for experienced OTs, social workers, AOD practitioners, or registered nurses.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.00pm) There is some flexibility around start and end times.

The role is based in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa. Travel to meet some of our service providers in other parts of the Waikato region within working hours may be required at times.

People-focused role emphasizing your approachability, responsiveness, and caring personality. Coach and develop staff, foster positive team culture, and lead 5 directs reports, reporting to the Regional Manager.

In this role you will lead our mental health Ahikaroa Coordination team who:

  • work in collaboration with residential providers and clinical teams to identify and overcome barriers to accessing supported residential services, for the people we support.
  • identify on-going support needs for people in residential services to help them sustain and progress their living situation in line with their goals and aspirations.
  • provide care and coordination, monitor, review and problem-solve service plans to ensure positive outcomes for the individuals being supported.

  • Exceptional people leader with relevant qualification in mental health and leadership.
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder, quickly establishing credibility.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Systems thinker, seeking opportunities for better outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, proficient in report writing and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working with Māori.
  • Requires a practicing certificate and full New Zealand driver's license.
  • Leadership will empower and inspire the dedicated and passionate team.
